Position Title: Assistant Cook
Classification: Grade - 1
Type of Appointment: Special All Inclusive
General Functions:
Under the overall supervision of the Resource Management Officer and direct supervision of the Guest House Manager, the Assistant Cook will be responsible for the following:
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare, cook & serve food in a pleasant manner.
- Take stocks and coordinate ordering of food and non-food items.
- Carry out regular checks of kitchen equipments and ensure all equipment are hygienic and in safe working order.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for all staff related to the kitchen.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned.
Required Qualifications and Competencies:
- High School Education.
- Knowledge of English language.
- Proven kitchen and culinary knowledge.
- 2 years work experience in a Western style kitchen as a prep cook.
- Experience is large scale hotels will be an advantage.
